Former karate champion, personal trainer and nutritionist, as well as wellness influencer with a community of 3.1 million followers on Instagram, the Polish Anna Lewandowska, 32, is also married to a footballer, the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, but it is as far from the stereotypical WAG. Very active on social media in promoting a healthy lifestyle and in the name of fitness, she is considered the secret of the extraordinary physical shape and power of the Bayern Munich forward.

How do you describe your training and what does it offer in your App?
«In my app I propose training of different intensity, more or less long, so everyone can find something for themselves to make physical activity part of their life. Every minute of physical activity is important and has a positive effect on health. Sport has always been a part of my life. I have been a professional athlete and now it is my great passion. But each of us has a different body. We have different physical abilities, movement habits and sports interests. The most important thing is to choose a physical activity that gives us joy and pleasure ».

Is yours for the whole family?
“It’s nice to be able to train with the whole family. Movement teaches children good habits. After a while it becomes a natural routine like brushing teeth – children do it every day to stay healthy. It’s a great way to spend time together, especially outdoors. I recommend my workouts to all family members. But don’t start with a difficult workout right from the start, especially if you’re doing activities with the little ones or beginners. Better to start slowly and enjoy your progress gradually ».

What is the ideal diet in your opinion when exercising?
«First of all, I would like to say that it is not just a question of diet, but regenerating with a restful night’s sleep is necessary to have the right energy to do everything during the day. Even when it comes to healthy food, you have to be smart. A low calorie meal does not give you enough energy. The diet should be adapted to the needs of our body and individual lifestyle. It is also important to take into account the intake of macro-nutrients, vitamins and minerals. The real question is being able to eat with awareness and according to a varied diet ».

For a champion like her, what does it mean to move?
«Sport has always been my passion. It has become my world since I was a child. And even if I no longer practice it at a competitive level, it is still a job I love. But at the same time it became my routine and a part of my life. My lifestyle. It is the road to physical and mental health ».

What do you recommend to keep motivation high?
“Healthy habits are the turning point. I always emphasize the importance of eating well, taking care of yourself and making exercise a habit, until it becomes something we do automatically. In this way in our life it will no longer be a duty, or another thing to do during the day, but an obvious routine. People often fear great changes and revolutions, which can also overwhelm and demotivate. This is why I encourage you to take small steps, based on Japanese philosophy, so called Kaizen, a search for little things that we can improve every day. It is more efficient to make progress by introducing small changes ”.
