Five new partners in EY Greece

EY constantly offers opportunities for development and professional advancement to its executives, who prove every day that they have the experience, knowledge and skills, helping the company to achieve its leading position in the professional services market. In this context, the management team of EY Greece was strengthened as of July 1, 2022 with five new Partners, Achillea Arvanitis and Konstantinos Somoglou from the Advisory Services department, Dimitrios Athanassopoulos and Fotini Mega from the Audit Services and Assurance Services department and Konstantina Galli from the Tax Services department.

Brief biographies of new Partners

Achilleas Arvanitis, Consulting Services

Five new partners in EY Greece

Achilleas Arvanitis is the head of EY’s Business Transformation department in Greece, including the Innovation & Experience Design team. He has worked with the Managements of large companies in Southeast Europe on business and digital transformation, human-centered product, service and customer experience design, and has extensive experience in digital strategy, innovation and digital solutions design. He is an active member of several international EY innovation groups, including monitoring and cooperation groups with FinTech companies and other startup companies. Before joining the EY team, he worked in the United Kingdom and in Athens in the field of Telecommunications/Information and Telematics respectively. He is a graduate of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and holds an MSc in Telecommunications from Imperial College London.

Dimitrios Athanasopoulos, Audit and Assurance Services

Athanasopoulos

Dimitris Athanasopoulos joined EY’s Audit Services and Assurance Services department in October 2005, and specializes in the shipping and transport industries. With over 16 years of professional experience in the audits of shipping companies, both listed on the US capital market and private, and supporting clients on their journey to the capital markets, through the raising of equity capital, or through the issuance of bonds in the US, while he has gained significant experience in PCAOB audits and SOX 404 compliance. He is a member of the Board of Chartered Accountants of Greece and the Association of Chartered Accountants of the United Kingdom (ACCA) and holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Master’s Degree in Finance and Banking Management from University of Piraeus, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) of the United Kingdom.

Fotini Mega, Audit Services and Assurance Services

Fotini Mega belongs to the Audit Services and Assurance Services department, with long experience in the shipping and transport industries, while also having the role of EY’s Quality Enablement Leader (QEL) for Southeast Europe. It specializes in providing audit services to shipping companies listed on American stock exchanges. He has over 15 years of experience in a wide range of services, including financial statement audits and safeguards of NASDAQ and NYSE listed companies, assurance and consent services for transactions in international financial markets such as initial public offerings (IPOs), equity increases and separations, design controls and effective operation of corporate procedures and security valves with an emphasis on financial information, recommendations for improving procedures and management systems and operational efficiency, etc. She holds a Degree in Accounting and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business, and is a certified certified auditor and member of the Board of Certified Public Accountants of Greece.

Konstantina Galli, Tax Services

Konstantina Galli belongs to the Tax Services department, with twenty years of experience. He joined the EY team in 2012 after serving for seven years in the Corporate Income Tax Department of the Ministry of Finance. He has extensive experience in providing tax advisory services, and deep knowledge of corporate taxation, restructuring and international tax structures. The wide range of projects she has worked on during her career also includes tax strategy and planning, tax disputes at the administrative and litigation level, as well as mergers and acquisitions and business-to-business transactions, while she has also offered extensive support to clients on tax policy issues; Her work spans a variety of industries, including consumer products, energy and utilities, real estate and hospitality, and financial services. He is a lawyer, a member of the Athens Bar Association, and has obtained a master’s degree in European and International Law from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Konstantinos Somoglou, Consulting Services

Somoglou

Konstantinos Somoglou joined EY’s Consulting Services department in 2014 and leads the Operational Transformation team. He has extensive experience, having led teams that implemented more than 70 transformation and operational performance optimization projects in various industries in Greece and in the wider region of Central and Southeastern Europe. These projects are related to the optimization of operational processes, the design of operational models, the digitization and automation of processes using supporting technologies, and the monitoring of production operations through the implementation of process analytics solutions. Today, it focuses on operational excellence, digital transformation, intelligent automation and harnessing the power of data to achieve greater efficiency across operations. It supports COOs and CIOs in developing a holistic and cost-effective approach to running their day-to-day operations. He holds an MSc with distinction in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City University London.
