A collision between a car and a truck left five people from the same family dead this Tuesday (24) on the BR-280 highway, near Porto União (SC), almost 500 kilometers from Florianópolis.
According to the Fire Department, the truck was driven by a 27-year-old man, who was found without serious injuries and refused medical attention. The driver remained at the scene and awaited the arrival of the Federal Highway Police.
There were five people in the car involved in the accident, the driver, a 50-year-old man, three women, aged 47, 28 and 24, and a 6-year-old boy.
According to a family member, the victims were returning from the beach.
According to firefighters, when the man passed by the accident site, he identified the incident involving his relatives.
