Five people were killed by an Israeli airstrike east of Beirut

At least five people were killed today in an Israeli strike targeting a community east of Beirut outside Hezbollah strongholds, Lebanon’s health ministry said. “The raid by the Israeli enemy” in the mountainous Alei region “caused five deaths and many injuries,” the ministry said in an interim report. A source in the security services told AFP that the residence that was targeted housed displaced persons who had fled the Israeli bombardment of the strongholds of the pro-Iranian movement.
