The Chinese auto giant Geely has prepared its new flagship crossover for the Russian market and even managed to test it at low temperatures (from -10 to -40 degrees Celsius) in the north of the country. The company talked about how the new Geely Monjaro was tested in the video, for the first time showing the general public its crossover in dynamics.
This is the first appearance of the Geely Monjaro on video. The new flagship crossover from China was tested by independent experts in northern Russia for two months, having covered more than 15,000 kilometers. During the tests, experts evaluated not only the operation of the engine and the patency of the car, but also the entire winter package of options, which includes, among other things, heated windshield, windshield washer nozzles, side mirrors and steering wheel.
Geely Monjaro should go on sale in the domestic market before the end of 2022. It has already passed mandatory certification in Russia, thanks to which it is already known that the crossover will be offered in a single version with a 2-liter 238-horsepower petrol turbo engine from Volvo, combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. The cost of the new car has not yet been announced, in other words, as well as its available equipment.
It should be noted that the Geely Monjaro is not a completely new model, but rather an adaptation for the Russian market of the previously released Geely KX-11 crossover, which is also known as the Xingyue L in the Chinese market. This is a roomy full-size crossover, the length of which is almost 5 meters.
