FlexPool stops working with users from Russia

Large Ethereum mining pool Flexpool announced the termination of work with users with Russian IP addresses. This is due to the military operation of the Russian troops in the Donbass.

In a post on the Reddit forum, representatives of Flexpool.io apologized to those miners who do not support the policy of the Russian authorities, and emphasized that they do not even want to indirectly profit from military operations or finance the operation. Therefore, the pool management decided to completely stop working with miners with Russian IP addresses. All funds on the accounts of these users will be transferred to their wallets.

“Many of you do not support this war. But still you support your nation. Without people, Russia would not be able to act like this. By reducing the economic power of the citizens of Russia, we are trying to influence the war. Thank you for your loyalty and don’t think it was an easy decision. If the situation is resolved peacefully, we are happy to resume work with users from Russia,” FlexPool said in a statement.

At the same time, Whit Gibbs, CEO of Bitcoin mining company Compass Mining, assured customers that all mining farms located in Siberia continue to operate normally without any problems. He stressed that the equipment is “well insulated from any geopolitical unrest.”

Earlier, The New York Times experts expressed the opinion that without digital assets, Russia cannot survive the US sanctions pressure.
