Flight attendant beaten in Dubai and stranded in the country

An Irish-born flight attendant has been stranded in Dubai after trying to kill herself by consuming a large amount of alcohol, resulting in her being prosecuted and banned from leaving the country. As the Daily Mail reports, 28-year-old Tori Tavi, who works for the Emirates airline, claims she was a victim of domestic violence in her home. A lawyer has revealed that her South African husband chased her with a knife and beat her with his fists, before grabbing her arm with the bathroom door, trying to break it down. After the attack, the woman, who had scratches and bruises all over her body, got drunk and tried to end her life, luckily without succeeding, while she was taken to the police station where she was informed that she would be prosecuted for drinking alcohol and suicide attempt.
