A Paraty International Literary Festival (Flip) revealed this Thursday (18) most of the programming that will integrate this year’s edition of the event. The tables take place online between November 27th and December 5th, and will be streamed via Flip’s YouTube channel.

On December 1st, Atwood, author of “O Conto da Aia”, talks with the Brazilian scientist Antonio Nobre. Alice Walker, from “A Cor Púrpura”, and Conceição Evaristo, author of “Ponciá Vicencio”, dialogue on December 4th.
On the last day of the literary festival, a debate is scheduled between the indigenous leader Ailton Krenak, author of “Ideas to postpone the end of the world”, and professor, journalist and sociologist Muniz Sodré.
This is the second edition of Flip held in a virtual way. Unlike past editions, which chose an honored author, this year’s event was designed by five curators who proposed a central theme for the debate.
According to the text presented by the curatorship of the festival, the program was developed from the term Guarani Nhe’éry, used as a reference to the Atlantic Forest to highlight the forest’s plural universes. The concept is the starting point of the event’s opening debate, which will take place on the 27th with Carlos Papá, filmmaker and leader Guarani Mbya, and Cristine Takuá, professor and founder of Instituto Maracá, an NGO for the protection and dissemination of indigenous heritage.
