Flood protection and water supply projects of the Budget Recovery Fund 460 million for auction.

The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport is preparing to auction an important flood protection project, as well as water supply projects financed by the Recovery Fund, with a total budget of 156.5 and 304 million euros, respectively.

These are the flood protection works of Loutraki (Phase B), Oreokastro, Amvrakia – Amfilochia & Valtos and Bramianos, Gra Lygia and Myrtos Dam, but also the water supply projects of Preveza-Arta-Lefkada, construction of water supply projects Phase, with a clear environmental sign, which will contribute to tackling the effects of climate change, but will also prevent illegal and unregulated irrigation, promoting organized, sustainable and efficient agricultural production.

More detailed for auction until the end of July, with the start of construction in 2023 and duration 30 months, the flood protection projects of Loutraki (Phase B), with a budget of 23 million euros.

The Oreokastro Flood Protection Works in Thessaloniki, with a budget of 15.5 million euros, are expected to be auctioned by the end of June. The contract concerns the construction of flood protection works in the area of ​​Oreokastro, Thessaloniki and the duration of their construction at 29 months.

The Flood Protection Works of Amvrakia – Amfilochia and Valtos of the Prefecture of Etoloakarnania, with a budget of 64.5 million euros, are expected to be auctioned by the end of July 2022.

By the end of June, the auction of the project Bardianou Reservoir, Gra Lygia and Myrtos Dam in the Lassithi Prefecture of Crete, with a budget of 53.5 million euros, is expected to be auctioned. The project concerns the construction of additional works of Bramianos Reservoir and flood protection works of Gra Lygia and Myrtos Dam.

On the front of the water supply projects of the Recovery Fund, the tenders of which are directly promoted, are included the water supply projects of Preveza-Arta-Lefkada, Construction of Water Transfer Works Tsiknia and Water Supply of Corfu Phase B ‘& C’ Phase, budget 304.

In particular, at the end of June, the auction of the Preveza-Arta-Lefkada Water Supply is expected, with a budget of 140 million euros.

The project concerns the construction of water supply projects in PE. Preveza – Arta – Lefkada, to solve the problems created by the outdated water supply network. The construction period of the project is set at 36 months.

The construction of Water Transfer Works on the island of Lesvos (First phase of the Tsiknia dam), with a budget of 104 million euros, is expected to be auctioned by the end of July and has a budget of 140 million euros.

The project concerns the construction of water transfer projects from the Tsiknia dam, to cover the water supply needs of the settlements of Mytilene, Kalloni, Evergetoula, Gera, Loutropolis, Agia Paraskevi, Mantamadou, Polychnitou, Petra and Mithimon.

Finally, Corfu Water Supply Phase B & C Phase, with PPP, budget 60 million from the Recovery Fund (co-financing with private contribution, total budget 165 million), the first phase of the PPP tender is expected to begin by the end of August.

The project of Corfu Water Supply (Phase B & C ‘, with PPP) aims at the more efficient use of water resources and the treatment of extreme situations due to “climate change”.
