Faced with the consequences caused by historic storms in Rio Grande do Sul, solidarity has been seen throughout Brazil to help the people of Rio Grande do Sul. In Salvador (BA) it is no different and some points were made available for donations.
Starting this Tuesday (7), the Esporte Clube Bahia store at Shopping Paralela is collecting mineral water, non-perishable food and cleaning and hygiene materials. They highlighted that they will not receive clothes.
The NGO Seja Semente also published that a truck will leave the capital this week to take the items that the local population needs most, such as water, blankets, sheets, and clothes.
At the airport, the items accepted are non-perishable food and basic baskets (except oil); Personal hygiene items, disposable diapers and absorbent pads; bed and bath linen and mineral water. The material can be deposited at the Azul company window, which is coordinating a logistical operation in the cities in which it operates to take donations to the affected areas.
Just like across the country, Bahia Post Offices are also beginning to receive donations for victims of the rains that are hitting Rio Grande do Sul.
The material received will be transported free of charge, at no cost to donors. Food from the basic basket, personal hygiene material, dry cleaning material, bed and bath linen and pet food are accepted.
