THE Civil Defense of Rio Grande do Sul released on Thursday (24), updates on the missing resulting from the floods that occurred in May 2024. The information was received by the State Civil Defense Operations Center.
According to the Civil Police, two people were found on the missing list last year, one deceased.
Registered death was from a man identified as, Olivan Paulo da Rosa, from Barros Cassal. Their remains were found, and the identification confirmation was performed by the expertise.
Also, according to police, the missing José Everaldo Vargas de Almeida, from the municipality of Canoas, was found alive on Thursday (24).
With the case update, the number of deaths becomes 184, and the missing list includes 25 people.
