Flora Ogilvy, cousin of Harry and William, had her royal wedding (one year later)

Come Beatrice of York and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, also Flora Ogilvy, cousin of Harry and William, last year – due to the pandemic – she had chosen an intimate ceremony and far from the spotlight to say “yes” to her boyfriend Timothy Vesterberg. A private wedding, last September 26 at the Royal Chapel of St. James Palace, with the promise of “We can’t wait to celebrate next year.”

And so it was, a year after the 26-year-old, granddaughter of Princess Alexandra, first cousin of Queen Elizabeth, as the daughter of Prince George, Duke of Kent, and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark, she had her royal wedding.

In the church of St. James’s Palace, Flora has gathered royal friends and relatives. Also present Edward of Wessex, youngest son of the queen, and his wife Sophie. And again Lady Marina Windsor, and the bridesmaids Maud and Isabella Windsor, Princess Michael of Kent and Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, who accompanied the queen during the last Trooping the Color.

And for the occasion, the new bride borrowed some jewels from her grandmother, Princess Alexandra: her diamond earrings and the beautiful tiara Ogilvy. A 85 years old Alexandra still works actively for the royal family, and is very close to Her Majesty. The niece, on the other hand, is 57th in line of succession to the throne and like many other members of the Windsor house has a more than normal life: after studying History of Art she works as a digital curator, and has been partnered with Timothy, a Swedish former ice hockey player, for several years.
