Florence Pugh insisted to Marvel to jump from the 2nd highest building in the world

The actress Florence Pugh It would not allow a film producer to keep her from jumping from the second highest building in the world to an action scene.

Pugh made the bold feat during the filming of Marvel’s upcoming movie “Thunderbolts*“ But only after being able to convince producers to let her do it, after they argued it would be a “madness in terms of insurance.”

Initially, she said, they would cut the script action scene, which shows Pugh’s character, Yelena Belova, also known as Black Widow, jumping out of Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“I was like: ‘What a p*rra? Of course we are doing, we need to do that!’”Pugh told Fandango in an interview published on Tuesday (15).“ So I was a sassy Karen sending emails to Kevin (Feige, president of Marvel Studios), ‘Kevin, this will do wonders for the press tour, we need to do that!’”

Pugh said “he had to continue insisting” with Feige and the producers to allow her to perform the challenge, and eventually they gave in, saying, “Okay, if you want to fall from the second highest building in the world, let’s solve it to you.”

As for the feat itself, Pugh said she acted without fear.

“I’m not afraid of heights, I even like it. I enjoy it, but that was a completely different game, it was insane,” she said. “The mental control I had to have that day was like, that was a super power of my own.”

“Thunderbolts*” is starring Pugh, David Harbor, Lewis Pullman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Sebastian Stan, among others. The film follows a group of antiheroes boarding a dangerous mission in the Marvel cinematic universe that forces them to confront their past.

Pugh earlier played Belova in the movie “Black Widow” of 2021 and the “Archer Gavião” miniseries of Disney+. It will also appear in the next movie “Avengers: Doomsday” in 2026.
