Florida County plans to introduce payment of taxes in cryptocurrencies

In Miami-Dade County, Florida, a group has been formed to explore the possibilities of using cryptocurrencies to pay taxes. For this, a meeting was held with representatives of the CryptoFed DAO from Wyoming.

According to
a statement, the task force will propose recommendations for potential strategies for developing the use of cryptocurrencies in the district. First of all, the question will be examined whether Miami-Dade County will be able to accept cryptocurrencies to pay taxes, fees and government services. In addition, a meeting was held with representatives of the American CryptoFed DAO from Wyoming. It is the first legally recognized decentralized autonomous organization in the United States.

Wyoming’s cryptocurrency policy is more progressive than other states, and legislation was passed in August to attract miners and cryptocurrency companies to its jurisdiction.

In April of this year, a working group was already formed in the district, which, among other things, considered the possibility of accepting cryptocurrencies to pay taxes, but the results of its work were not published.
