Florida has a new two -star restaurant on the Michelin Guide

Five Florida restaurants have gained new Michelin stars and seven others joined the Guide Bib Gourmand list. This was the result of the new edition of Michelin Florida Guide released in ceremony in Orlando last Thursday (17).

Of the five new starry restaurants, one won the second star : The Japanese Sorekara in Orlando. He joins the L’telier of Joël Robuchon in Miami as the only two stars of the Michelin guide in Florida.

New starry restaurants in Florida

In Orlando, the Sorekara in the Baldwin Park neighborhood, it became the second restaurant two stars in the state. Commanded by the Nipo-American chef and owner William Shen the house serves a periodically changing tasting menu that is inspired by the 72 microstations in Japan.

In the state, four other restaurants were decorated with the first star. The “exceptional cocktail” award went to Tyler Wolff from Ponte Restaurant, in Tampa; The “sommelier” award went to Jacqueline Pirolo from Macchialin in Miami; the “illustrious service” trophy went to Austin Joseph from Sorekara, in Orlando; and the “Young Chef” award went to Juan Camilo Liscano from the palm in Miami.
