Celebrating the victory in Oscar 2025 in the category of Best Animation the director of the movie Latto “Flow” Gints Zilbalodis He created special animations where he brings the protagonist kitten of the feature film in the presence of the award.
In the first and simplest, Zilbalodis puts flow in a celebration stirred by the prize. “That’s what you do after winning an Oscar. Warning of flashing lights !! ”wrote the filmmaker in the animation caption published on Instagram.
Already in the second post, the animal appears next to another character in the movie, the lemure. At the time, the two handle an animated Oscar statuette (see below).
“Flow” tells the story of a usually lone cat, who, after the destruction of his home for a large flood, finds refuge in a boat inhabited by various species. To survive, he needs to adapt and collaborate with others, despite the differences.
In his thanksgiving speech, the animation team mentioned the importance of bringing the Oscar statuette for the first time to his country.
