Last week, Meizu announced three new phones, Meizu 18s, Meizu 18s Pro and Meizu 18x, and now the manufacturer has announced that the update to Flyme 9.2 is already available for two earlier Meizu 18 series phones.
The update came out ahead of schedule, which is unusual for Meizu, which is usually very delayed with the release of firmware. Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro owners can check for updates in the settings menu.
Flyme 9.2 contains a number of new features. There is a new font that also has more accurate characters, a new font size adjustment tool and a magnifier. Meizu has also added new high contrast color modes for older users. Meizu says the new font design meets web accessibility requirements.

There is also an auto-delete feature that automatically deletes OTP (one-time password) messages, installation packages, and other one-time warnings. Another Flyme 9.2 feature is virtual RAM, which allows you to use up to 7GB of RAM from your phone’s flash memory. The update also contains an improved floating window mode with visual changes.
The Flyme 9.2 update should be released later for the Meizu 17 series smartphones.
