Focused on accounting services for small businesses, startup Contabilizei announced this Thursday (10) that it received a contribution of US$ 60 million (about R$ 320 million).
The round was led by SoftBank and had the participation of Goldman Sachs and Pruven Capital – the Japanese conglomerate was also ahead of another contribution made in January 2021.
Founded in 2013 by Vitor Torres, the startup is one of the main names in Curitiba’s innovation ecosystem and aspiring to be the fourth “unicorn” (startup valued at at least US$ 1 billion) in the city — the others are Ebanx, MadeiraMadeira and List
According to Torres, the resources will be applied in the business expansion plan on three fronts.
“We are going to use this money to increase the offer of products, hire and increase our physical presence,” the CEO told Estadão.
Contabilizei started with a business start-up service and accounting services for small businesses — today, it has 30,000 clients.
Now, he wants to advance in financial management and advice, such as paying bills, prepayment of receivables and tax collection.
The information is from the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo.
