Brazil recorded 229 deaths and 64,362 infections by Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to data from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) released this Tuesday (21).
With that, the moving average of deaths, which considers the last seven days, was 148. This number represents an increase of 57% in one month. On May 21, the Conass indicator was 94.
The moving average of cases reached 39,621. A month ago the number was less than half and stood at 13,788 on May 21.
These numbers allow monitoring of the country’s epidemiological situation without possible distortions caused by possible underreporting on weekends or problems in accessing databases.
With the new update, the country reached 669,161 fatalities from the disease and 31,754,465 infections by the coronavirus.
Covid represents 71.2% of cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome in Brazil
The new edition of the InfoGripe bulletin, from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), released this Tuesday (21), points out that cases of Covid-19 already correspond to 71.2% of the occurrences of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in the country. Brazil in the last four weeks.
