At the end of March, the Korean company Samsung announced the launch of a program through which users will be able to independently repair the most popular Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Now Google is launching a similar program.

The company has partnered with the iFixit team, a well-known online repair community, to provide official components. The program will start working towards the end of the year. It will cover branded Google smartphones, from Pixel 2 to Pixel 6 Pro. Users are promised a “full range” of components such as batteries, cameras and displays. They can be purchased separately or together with the iFixit Fix Kits.
The program will be launched in the US, UK, Australia, Canada and those European countries where Pixel phones are officially sold.
