Last week, we were able to see a “floating” Start menu and search box in a new design with rounded corners. Following the example of Windows 10X, in the standard version of Windows 10, the Start menu will also visually separate from the taskbar, starting to “hover” above it.

Now the thematic resource WindowsLatest has shown how other OS elements can look in the new design. Following the example of the “Start” menu, a drop-down list “took off” above the taskbar. Rounded corners have also received a context menu in the settings application, and we will see fillets in text input fields.

The new user interface and design project is internally codenamed Sun Valley and will be part of the Windows 10 Cobalt or 21H2 release. For ordinary users, this version of the OS will become available in the fall of 2021, most likely in October. Test program participants will be introduced to the new design in the summer.
