Player Ezekias Junior Vieira dos Santos, 19, was murdered on Wednesday night (21) in Manaus, capital of Amazonas. The crime happened in the District Industrial II neighborhood.
The Amazonian Civil Police, through the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station, investigates the case. Ezequias is a former player of Manaus Futebol Clube, a team that disputes the D Series of the Brasileirão. He also played for Fast Club, another team of Manaus.
Images released on social networks show the player in a car in the east of the city when approached by a couple on a motorcycle.

The Amazonas Civil Police (PC-AM), through the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS), informs that it is investigating the murder of football player Ezequias Júnior Vieira dos Santos, 19. The victim was shot by gunshots on Wednesday night (21/05), around 23h, at Avenida Cosme Ferreira, District Industrial II neighborhood, east of Manaus.
Diligences are in progress in order to investigate the circumstances of the crime, as well as identify the authorship. More information cannot be passed on at the moment, in order not to compromise the course of investigations.
