A teacher at a football school, investigated for abusing students was arrested this Wednesday (18), in Várzea Grande (MT).
According to the Civil Police, the man took advantage of his position to commit sexual abuse.
The teacher was arrested when was with one of the athletes who was training at Marechal Rondon airport. He was returning from a trip to Aracaju (SE).
At least three students would have suffered abuse by the teacher, according to what the investigations have identified so far.
The investigation began after complaints from the victims’ families to the Specialized Police Station for the Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents (Deddica).
According to them, the man took the minors to tournaments outside the city or state, without the company of parents or guardians.
He was taken to Deddica, where he will be questioned about the facts and later sent to a custody hearing.
