New statistics 3DCenter, which covers retail stores in Germany and Austria, suggests that video cards continue to rise in price. Moreover, the rate of rise in price is alarming: it turns out about 1% per day! So, if we take the interval from 10 to 31 October, Nvidia 3D cards added 16 percent, and AMD 3D cards – 18 percent. In general, video cards in Europe have been rising in price for the third month in a row – continuously since August 8.
At the moment, the user overpays for AMD video cards twice (or 101% of the recommended market value), for Nvidia video cards – a little less than half (88%).

Analysts point to a situation that generally reflects an unhealthy situation in the market. The fact is that some models that are one step or even two lower are more expensive than higher ones. For example, if the Redon RX 6800 costs 1510-1710 euros in Europe, then the price of the top-end Radeon RX 6900 XT is in the range of 1400-2090 euros. That is, they ask for the same amount for the middle model as for the older one. The same situation with GeForce RTX 3070 and GeForce RTX 3080 – if the cost of the former ends at around 1,885 euros, then the cost of the second starts at around 1,430 euros.
It would, of course, be interesting to look at the price metamorphosis of the Radeon RX 6600, GeForce RTX 3070Ti and 3080Ti models, but their statistics do not take into account: only the cost of video cards released before March of this year is analyzed in 3DCenter.
