For more than half of the truck drivers that travel around the country, diesel aid will not pay 10% of the cost of fuel for professionals.
The conclusion is from a survey by Clube da Estrada, a relationship platform with truck drivers.
About 51.9% of professionals surveyed reported spending more than R$10,000 per month filling the tank.
The number is close to the 54.9% who responded to run more than nine thousand kilometers per month on the roads.
In all, 82.7% said that the most frequent transport load is grain, from Brazilian agribusiness. The survey was carried out between the 2nd and 11th of July.
The survey also points out that another 40.2% of truck drivers claim to spend more than R$6,000 per month on diesel.
CEO of Freto, the company that maintains Clube da Estrada, Thomas Gautier, highlights the intention of the relationship work.
“One of the goals is for society to understand more deeply the needs of truck drivers and the impacts of certain actions on their work routine. It is a fundamental public for our country’s economy in several aspects”, says Gautier.
Of the truck drivers consulted by the survey, 66.3% believe that the assistance provided for in the Proposal for a Constitutional Amendment (PEC) of Benefits will be a relief for the category.
However, 14.1% said that the voucher alone will not solve the problems, 19.6% believe that the aid will not alleviate the budget.
The benefit, provided for in the PEC, would be valid until December of this year and can already be paid from August.
The weekly price survey by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), released last Friday (15), shows that the average cost of a liter of diesel is R$ 6.29, both for diesel and common (S-500) and for the S-10.
The Brazilian Association of Vehicle Drivers (Abrava) points out that a liter of diesel yields between 1.5 and 2.5 kilometers.
A survey of CNN , crossing ANP data with Abrava estimates, points out that the voucher would allow fueling with approximately 160 liters of diesel. This amount would allow a distance of 398 kilometers to be covered.
The Benefits PEC has already been approved in both houses of the Legislature and enacted by the National Congress on the 14th.
