Today, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for the first time in six years, woke up to see that the city was covered with a blanket of snow. Snow in the city began to fall on Wednesday afternoon, during the night the cover reached from seven to ten centimeters, writes Haaretz.
There were traffic disruptions in the city, and school began later than usual.

The snowfall is expected to gradually ease during the day, and Friday will bring rain and cold in the north and center of the country.


The Times of Israel reports that a man died of hypothermia in the southern city of Kiryat Gat. The emergency services said they found him on the street and could not resuscitate him.
