For the first time, Varilux French Film Festival includes series in the schedule

This Wednesday (22), the 13th edition of the Varilux French Film Festival and this time with a novelty: the inclusion of series in your schedule.

In addition to the seven series productions, until July 6, 17 new films and two classics will be shown in cities in several Brazilian states.

Among the selection of unpublished films, the public will be able to check out feature films directed by well-known names, such as François Ozon (“Peter Von Kant”), Cedric Klapisch (“The next step”), Asghar Farhadi (“A Hero”) and Louis Garrel (“A Little Big Plan”).

The program also includes award-winning works such as “O Acontecimento”, by Audrey Diwan, winner of the Golden Lion for best film at the 2021 Venice Film Festival, and “A Hero”, by Asghar Farhadi, winner of the Grand Prix at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. site of the festival.

“We are always on the lookout to bring to the festival quality works and with a diversity of themes. We know that the public wants to see their favorite actors and directors, but also to know the new revelations”, commented the co-director and co-curator of the festival, Christian Boudier.

To present their works and talk to the public, an artistic delegation with 11 professionals – among them, the actor Gilles Lellouche (protagonist in The Fate of Hoffman, Kompromat and Goliath) and the filmmakers Carine Tardieu (The Young Lovers) and Jérôme Salle (Kompromat) – will be in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The opening ceremony takes place this Wednesday, in São Paulo.
