The brand’s developers at CES 2023 presented a unique remote control for Google TV that will never run out of power – it’s all about a special recharging technology that will forever leave replaceable AA batteries and chargers in the past.
The main advantage of the new remote control from TW Electronics is a self-charging battery based on a photovoltaic panel from the Swedish company Exeger in the gadget’s body. This is a kind of analogue of a solar panel, only a photovoltaic analogue is able to charge the built-in battery of the remote control even indoors without direct sunlight – enough natural light. Although this is not the first such remote, because Samsung already has its own solution with a similar advantage, the brand for the first time presented a solution specifically created for Google TV. Unfortunately, so far the manufacturer does not even name an approximate release date, but the idea of a fully autonomous remote control for a TV looks very attractive.
