Forced landing in Berlin for a Ryanair aircraft with 160 passengers


A company plane made an emergency landing in Berlin Ryanair last night, following a bomb warning.

The aircraft was flying from Dublin to Krakow and finally, after investigations, continued on to its destination.

The plane carried 160 passengers and made an emergency landing at 20:08 local time (21:08 Greek time) at Berlin Brandenburg Airport, south of the German capital.

As reported by German media, passengers’ luggage was examined by specially trained dogs, while the aircraft was surrounded by several vehicles of the police and fire brigade.

“The Ryanair plane requested an emergency landing and was immediately allowed to leave,” Jan-Huck, a spokesman for the airport, told Bild.

In July 2020, a Ryanair aircraft on the same route made an emergency landing in London following a bomb warning that also turned out to be false.
