Forces of Fashion, the second edition begins

After last year’s great success, the October 26 return to Rome the second Italian edition of Forces of Fashionthe global event of Vogue which tells the world of fashion through the voices of its protagonists.

The event, with free access, is organized in collaboration with the Department of Major Events, Fashion, Tourism and Sport of Rome Capital and will be hosted within the suggestive complex of Slaughterhouse, contemporary cultural hub in the Testaccio district, thanks toPalaexpo Special Company.

An event dedicated to fashion as a means of promoting change and creating bonds, characterized by a rich program of talk together with the major players in the sector and the team of Vogue Italia, workshops, educational sessions aimed at students e experiential spaces. Among the novelties of this year, arrives in the capital «Sixty Years of Vogue Italia – Sixty Years of the Future»the celebratory exhibition created on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the magazine which, after the great reception received in Milan in September, will be open to the public in the Mattatoio spaces on 26 and 27 October.

Pavilion Forces of Fashion

The world of fashion shows, the evolution of the fashion system and its connections will be at the center of the talks, open to the public upon registrationwhich will take place on October 26th.
On the stage of the pavilion Forces of Fashionthe actress will go up first Monica Belluccicover star of the October issue of Vogue Italia, to tell her story to the writer and screenwriter Chiara Barzini. The creative director of Diesel, Glenn Martenswill delve into his new approach to the fashion show and the community around the brand, with Luke Leitchcontributor to Vogue Italia, Vogue Business and Vogue Runway. In the afternoon Maximilian Daviscreative director of Ferragamo; IB Kamaracreative director of Off-White and Editor in Chief of Dazed e Mischa Notcuttfounder of 11casting and casting director of Dazed, will be at the center of a dialogue on the sense of community and creative collaboration in fashion, moderated by Corinne CorciSpecial project lead of Vogue Italia. The new creative director of Valentino Alessandro Michele will reveal his world and his vision of fashion in a conversation with Francesca RagazziHead of editorial content at Vogue Italia. Inside Vogue Pavilion

In the pavilion Inside Vogue, free entry with the exception of the talks on October 26th upon registration, it will be possible to visit for two days, October 26th and 27th, «Sixty Years of Vogue Italia – Sixty Years of the Future».
An extraordinary journey between 60 iconic covers from the Vogue Italia archiveto retrace the revolutions that have crossed its history and the creative processes from which talents, styles and intuitions emerged. The exposure is curated by Vogue Italia in collaboration with Ferdinando Verdericreative director of Vogue Italia from 2019 to 2021, who created the concept and design. As part of the concept, several writers were invited to offer their personal interpretation of the exhibited covers. Historical signatures of the magazine and personalities from the world of art and culture have donated to Vogue Italia some unpublished textswho will accompany the public to discover the most significant moments in the history of the magazine through their unique perspective.

Particular attention will also be given to fashion professionsthrough some educational session, on October 26th, created in collaboration with Roma Capitale, among new possible scenarios and behind the scenes. A series of meetings aimed at students and those who dream of working in the sector, to delve deeper into the professions that work daily within the fashion system: give advice on how to move easily in this area in all its possible declinations, including styling, digital, visual and not only that, to a new and inclusive concept of casting, up to the anecdotes behind the curation of an exhibition like the one dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of Vogue Italia.

Inside the pavilion there will also be a corner Vogue Collection with a selection of clothing and accessories by Vogue, including best sellers and novelties, made of 100% organic cotton and purchasable with a special discount reserved for event participants.

The schedule will also be enriched by special initiatives designed for da partners CNCC – Condé Nast Commercial Creativethe business unit dedicated to the development of cross-platform communication projects, which allow, thanks to creativity, access to relevant cultural moments and to influence Condé Nast audiences.
