The risk for thunderstorms increases in Greater Sao Paulo this Thursday, 3, due to the approach of a cold front, which has been bringing a moderate to strong cold air mass. According to the climatempo meteorology company, the great thermal shock on the state of São Paulo will facilitate the formation of loaded clouds.
On Monday (31) the metropolitan region of São Paulo, especially ABC, was hit by a strong storm that caused damage, such as flooding of avenues and train stations.
This Wednesday (2) are expected rains in the form of isolated blows with even strong intensity between the middle and late afternoon, accompanied by lightning and gusts, which can raise the potential for falling trees, as well as the formation of flooding, according to the São Paulo City Hall Climate Emergency Management Center (CGE).
The expectation is that Greater São Paulo has more rain on Friday, 4, and the temperature begins to lower with excess clouds, rain and the entry of cold winds, of polar origin. “But the feeling of a slightly muffled air will still predominate in much of the day,” adds the meteorology company.
On the first weekend of April, the region should record mild temperatures due to a cold air mass and high maritime humidity. “The combination of cold air with the lack of the sun, due to excess clouds, will keep the temperature mild,” says Climatempo.
Still in April, two other cold air masses should cause sharp temperature drop in Greater São Paulo.
See the temperature variation for the coming days, according to the company Meteoblue:
-Wednesday: between 21ºC and 28ºC;
-Thursday: between 21ºC and 28ºC;
-Friday: between 20ºC and 25ºC;
– Saturday: between 16ºC and 19ºC;
– Sunday: between 16ºC and 20ºC.
