“Greece actively supports the stabilization of the countries of the Middle East and the confrontation of the destructive effects of the action of the terrorist organization Daesh (s.s. ISIS) “states the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its announcement.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias at the NESC Conference in Rome last June, committed to funding rehabilitation programs for its victims terrorist organization. As part of the implementation of this commitment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will pay 50,000 euros in the Funding Facility for Stabilization of the United Nations Development Program.
The facility aims, according to the Athens News Agency, to restore basic services and the smooth return of internally displaced people to areas liberated by the ISIS, the foreign ministry said.
It is recalled that Greece becomes the 29th country to contribute to this financial tool.
