Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias is going to Albania tomorrow, Monday 23 May, where he will meet first with members of the Greek national minority from Heimarra and then with the Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all Albania Anastasios, according to a relevant ministry statement.
The Foreign Minister will then meet in person with the Albanian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Olta Xhaçka, followed by extended talks. Joint statements to the press will be made around 12:00 (local time).
The Foreign Minister will then be received by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama. There will be a private meeting and then a working lunch will take place.
Discussions will focus on issues of bilateral, European and regional interest, with emphasis on the course of Greek-Albanian relations in all areas, the preparation of the Summit of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), the developments in Ukraine after the Russian invasion, Eastern Mediterranean region and the European perspective of the Western Balkans.
