Foreign Ministry Spokesman: ‘Orthodox’ bombs kill Orthodox expatriates

The unequivocal condemnation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Russian attacks in Ukraine that cost the lives of ten Greek expatriates, was expressed by the representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexandros Papaioannou, speaking on SKAI television.

He stressed that it is unacceptable for civilians to be killed and reiterated that the Russian ambassador in Athens will be summoned to the Foreign Ministry today.

Mr. Papaioannou stressed that Athens has evidence that what the Russian Embassy invoked yesterday is false. It is recalled that the Embassy claimed that in the outskirts of the village of Sardana where Greek expatriates fell dead, no Russian forces were operating.

“Orthodox bombs killed Orthodox expatriates. Let us remember this. And what the Russian embassy said is false news. We have evidence,” said a spokesman for the Greek Foreign Ministry.
