Last Thursday (16), the Civil Police of Rio Grande do Norte arrested a 35-year-old man suspected of stealing approximately R$105,000 from a business in Macaíba, in the metropolitan region of Natal. According to the corporation, the criminal, whose identity was not disclosed, is a former employee of the establishment.
The crime occurred on the morning of November 25, 2024. The suspect was captured in São Gonçalo do Amarante, also in Grande Natal.
During the police approach, the man reported that he broke into the back door of the store and stole money that was hidden there. Furthermore, he said he used the stolen amount to renovate his home, install solar panels and purchase a car, household appliances and jewelry.
According to the police, the goods acquired with the money from the theft were seized and will be returned to the owner of the establishment.
