Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson expressed his willingness to invest in Bitcoin if it becomes an effective medium of exchange and shared his opinion on who might be behind the development of the first cryptocurrency.

During a private conversation at the Bitcoin 2024 event, renowned political speaker Tucker Carlson called crypto enthusiasts very intelligent people who can answer any question, including the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. In his opinion, the creator of Bitcoin is the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

The CIA has already confirmed that it initiated cryptocurrency projects to combat ransomware. Former CIA chief Michael Morell even called blockchain a highly effective tool for fighting crime and gathering intelligence. However, that’s all as far as evidence goes.

“Someone needs to answer that question. Apparently, the first cryptocurrency was created by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). We all know that,” Carlson said.

The journalist called cryptocurrency the world’s best tool for ensuring financial sovereignty, even if it was invented by the CIA. Bitcoin gives the average person the freedom to make financial transactions without government oversight or control.

However, for Bitcoin to reach its full potential, it needs to become a medium of exchange rather than just a store of value. This requires convincing the public to use BTC for payments and increasing its privacy so that Bitcoin transactions cannot be traced, Carlson said.

“If these problems are solved, I will put all my money into Bitcoin, I mean it. I think Bitcoin is the key to preserving the country I grew up in,” Carlson said.

Tucker previously made fun of the founder of the bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried, saying that if you launch a scam cryptocurrency called FTX, you can become a hero.
