Former participant of the program MasterChef Jason Junior, was arrested this Tuesday (31) following a complaint involving sexual violence against a 12-year-old girl.
According to information from the Santa Catarina Civil Police, the victim reported having been raped by the chef.
Jason Junior, participant in the 9th edition of Master Chef, was arrested red-handed by Military Police teams.
In a statement, the Civil Police confirmed the arrest and the opening of the investigation. In the statement, the PCSC states that “it began investigative procedures in search of supporting evidence, hearing from the victim and family, among other actions.” Check the full note .

The Santa Catarina Civil Police, through the Capital’s Police Duty Center (CPP), informs that a man was arrested in Florianópolis, on 12/31, after a victim reported that she had been raped by him. The initial investigations were carried out by the PMSC, which located and took the suspect to the CPP headquarters, in the Trindade neighborhood.
Upon receiving the information, the delegate on duty, Cleber Serrano, opened a police investigation and, together with his team, began investigative procedures in search of supporting evidence, hearing from the victim and family, among other actions.
Based on what was found by the investigation, the police authority drew up a report of arrest in flagrante delicto and the person being investigated was sent to the prison system where he will remain at the disposal of the Justice.

The former participant of MasterChef detained preventively on charges of rape vulnerable, his detention was confirmed at a custody hearing on Thursday.
According to the Ex-MasterChef’s defense, the custody procedure did not include the physical presence of the accused in the forum. The defense reports having faced obstacles to personal contact with the detainee so far.
The former reality participant’s lawyer stated that he had returned from a trip to take care of the case and that his priority is, firstly, to be able to talk to the client and understand his position on the facts.
