Pentagon’s former officer Luis Elizondo, who headed the United States Advanced Aerospace Threats (AATIP) program, explained in an interview with CNN Why Brazil has silenced investigations into cases of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) recorded in Colares, Pará.
In his book “Imminent-Behind the Backstage of the Pentagon Hunting Ovnis,” the American discusses Operation Dish, led by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) in the 1970s during the military dictatorship. The missions took place between 1977 and 1978 on the island located in the Marajó archipelago and aimed to investigate mysterious flying lights, UFO apparitions and alleged light attacks on the local population.
The missions were closed by the Armed Forces without major conclusions about the case, which became known as “Chupa”. At the time, many victims reported the biological effects of Contact with UFOs and attempts to communicate from supposed beings.
THE CNN Elizondo explained why Brazilian missions did not gain body and, instead of becoming a major alien technology investigation program, were suffocated by the federal government. According to the former Pentagon officer, in the context of the Cold War, it was possible to believe that UFOs were actually a technology not known to the Americans or a communist attack committed by the Soviets.
“THE Brazil has a very practical reason to keep this topic in silence for so long, ”said the American.Perhaps one of these technologies was a rugged American secret technology or a rugged Russian secret technology. Brazil also wants to be very careful not to compromise or harm the relationships it maintains with other countries. ”
“THEnow that other countries are manifesting [sobre seus estudos acerca de Ovnis] “Since Russia, the United States, China – and admitting that this is real, I think it will make it much easier in the future for Brazil to have this conversation, even among its own citizens,” said Elizondo.
The cases of necklaces were documented even by the Alien Research series, available on Netflix, and Globoplay’s Operation Pod Podcast.
“Imminent – the backstage of the Pentagon hunt for the Ovnis” is a book that portrays Luis Elizondo’s journey in charge of the United States Department of Defense Department. Published in Brazil by Harper Collins and launched in April, he brings details about the studies conducted by Elizondo’s team and his efforts to give visibility to the theme, which still faced strong pressures motivated by religion and US companies in the aerospace.
Thanks to the discussions started by the author, who was behind the series “Ovnis: Secret Story Channel investigation,” the United States Congress is now aware of the Pentagon programs that investigate UFOs and even separates part of the country’s defense department budget for this subject.
