Former top manager of Binance Gleb Kostarev commented on his departure

The director of the Binance crypto exchange in Eastern Europe, Gleb Kostarev, left the company due to “new challenges,” he said in a comment. RBC-Crypto.

“My departure from Binance is not related to the latest events on the p2p platform and articles in the Western media. Let me remind you that recently my team was responsible not only for the CIS, but also for Eastern Europe, Turkey, Australia and New Zealand, and until May also for APAC. I’ve been with Binance for more than five years, almost from the very beginning, and it’s time for new challenges,” he said.

On September 6, Gleb Kostarev, director of Binance in Eastern Europe, and Vladimir Smerkis, director of the CIS, announced their departure from the company. The Binance editors confirmed that both top managers left the company, but declined to comment further.

The largest crypto exchange Binance previously announced that it was considering the possibility of a complete exit from the Russian market. Over the past months, Binance has consistently limited options for Russian users amid accusations of supporting sanctions circumvention.
