Epic Games has no plans to update its hugely popular Fortnite game to run on Steam Deck. This was announced by the head of the company.
In fact, Fortnite is not on regular Steam either, but in the case of the console, this is not the only thing. SteamOS, we recall, is based on Linux, and this is exactly what Epic Games does not like. The company says that, firstly, Linux is a terribly difficult platform due to the variety of incompatible configurations, and secondly, that the company is not confident in its ability to deal with cheaters in such conditions.
However, Fortnite fans who have already laid eyes on Steam Deck still have a way out. Technically, this is a normal portable PC, so you can easily install Windows on it.
