Forza Horizon 5 from Playground Studios has become the most successful Xbox Game Studios game in terms of distribution speed. In just one day, the total number of players has already exceeded 4.5 million.
The information came straight from Xbox CEO Phil Spencer, who tweeted that Forza Horizon 5 has already tripled Forza Horizon 4, released in 2018, in terms of maximum player count.
Unfortunately, details about the distribution of players between platforms and how many of the 4.5 million come from Game Pass subscriptions, where the game appeared on the first day, were not disclosed. On Steam, the peak number of players has already exceeded 80,000.
Forza Horizon 5 was very well received by critics, with an average score of 92/100 after publishing 90 reviews. Many called Forza Horizon 5 one of the best racing games in history.
The game is available on PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Xbox Game Pass subscribers have access to all features at no additional cost.
