Four Colombian police officers die in helicopter crash

Four Colombian National Police officers died this Thursday (22) after the Black Hawk helicopter in which they were traveling suffered a plane crash in the south of the department of Antioquia, northwest of the country, the institution said in a message on its online account. social X, formerly Twitter.

The deceased police officers are Major Juan Morales, Captain César Rodríguez and deputy superintendents Feder Celis and Rafael González, added the institution, which sent condolences to their families.

General William René Salamanca Ramírez, director of the National Police, reported at noon on his X account that contact was lost with the aircraft while it was flying over the mountainous region of Antioquia.

Later, the death of the crew was announced.

The Colombian Army also participated in responding to the accident and searching for the helicopter, expressing regret for what happened through a message on X.
