Four Hours of Great Cinema: Critics Love Justice League Director’s Cut

There are only three days left before the release of the director’s version of Justice League by Zach Snyder (the full release will take place on the HBO Max streaming platform on March 18), but this does not prevent the publisher’s PR department from actively promoting the conditionally new film. For this, an extraordinary trailer was released with many epic battles and new opponents, about which not a word was said in the original version of the picture, and the final touch was the reviews of film critics, who, of course, were given to watch the film in advance. And the critics of the film remained in indescribable delight – this is a completely different film.

It is worth recalling that the original picture was released in 2017 and was literally trampled by the same film critics for the flat characters, the strange development of the storyline and the lack of explainable motivation for the main characters. There were plenty of reasons for the failure of the largest film in the history of the DC film franchise – many scenes were cut out to fit into the classic format for cinemas, and a new director was already finishing the project, while Snyder left the project after the death of his daughter. The end result disappointed both fans and Warner Bros. bosses. – such an ambitious film about superheroes failed miserably at the box office.

In the director’s version of the film, which will be released on the streaming service, they did not cut anything – it is for this reason that the chronology of the picture exceeded four hours. Thanks to this, viewers will see many new scenes that explain the nature of the characters and their motivations, plus the most powerful villains and various monsters will be shown trying to take over the planet. And although the main outline of the story remained the same, film critics said that this is a gorgeous film that is several times superior to the original picture.
