Four lion puppies were placed in the visitation area of the São Paulo Zoo. The animals were born in November last year and were in a restricted area of the park.
Babies are three months old, female and weigh about 25 pounds. They are daughters of the Erindi and Django lions couple.
The names of the puppies were inspired by the movie “The Lion King”: Nala, Kiara and Sarabi. One of them is called Sampa, in honor of the state capital.
The enclosure was prepared to receive the lions family. “Unpublished opportunity to see the development of the puppies and the behavior of the Panthera Leo species,” said the São Paulo zoo in a press release.
