Four people were shot in the food court of an office complex in downtown Atlanta, in the United States, the city’s mayor said on Tuesday afternoon (11), adding that the building was closed.
A person suspected of carrying out the shooting is believed to be among those shot, according to police.
“Avoid the area,” warned Mayor Andre Dickens.
In a series of posts on X, the city’s police department confirmed that four people were shot at Peachtree Center, adding that they were all “alert, conscious and breathing.”
Peachtree Center, in the heart of the city, has office space in four buildings, as well as 50 restaurants and retail stores and three hotels, according to its website.
