Four people from the same family are found dead and buried in Rio

Four people from the same family were killed and buried on a farm in the rural area of Resende, in the south of Rio de Janeiro. The suspect of the crime was arrested this Wednesday (9).

According to the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro, Marcos Roberto de Cássio, 52 years old and his children, Luís Otávio Campos de Cássio, 31 years old (owner of the site), Rodrigo Dionísio Cássio, 28 years old and the child Luís Miguel Campos de Cássio were killed with shots to the head.

Earlier this week, the victims were found in a shallow grave inside the property, close to a stream.

Investigations indicate that the crime was motivated because the suspects discovered that Luís Otávio would receive around R$60,000 for the sale of a batch of cattle. Furthermore, the police claim that the boy Luís Miguel was killed because he knew one of the perpetrators involved in the episode.

According to police, two other suspects have been identified and are being sought. There is already an open arrest warrant in their name for murder, which would have been committed in Minas Gerais.

The case was registered at the 89th DP, which also asked the court for an arrest warrant for a third suspect.
