Four people were shot in the early hours of Saturday (12) in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, in the United States, after a fight broke out near a party for singer Justin Bieber.
The altercation took place around 2:45 am local time on the 400th block of La Cienega Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Bieber was having a party at The Nice Guy restaurant and lounge after a show, and “the shooting took place […] close to The Nice Guy, but not directly in front,” a source familiar with the event told CNN International.
The source claimed that the musician was inside the restaurant when the shooting took place and decided to leave the premises as soon as he learned of the incident.
Police said there was a “physical conflict” between several people and shots were fired by a suspect who fled the scene. In a press release Saturday afternoon, Los Angeles police asked for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
Four people were shot, police said in a statement. Two of the victims were taken to nearby hospitals by paramedics, while the other two sought hospitals on their own, police said.
“The incident is not gang related,” police said earlier. THE CNN contacted Bieber’s team on Saturday but received no response.
Nice Guy restaurant is owned by The h.wood Group, an entertainment company that owns several locations in the Los Angeles area. THE CNN could not find a h.wood representative.
