With a dynamic presence, the Fourlis Group participated in the annual action “Salesman for an hour” organized by the street magazine “Shedia” on Friday, June 24.
A total of 19 volunteers – employees of the Group found themselves in central parts of Athens and Thessaloniki and wearing the red vest of “Shedia” sellers joined forces with the regular sellers of the day with the aim of selling as many issues of the magazine as possible.
The “Vendor for an Hour” action takes place annually in the first week of February as part of the “International Week of Street Magazine Vendors”. This year, due to the pandemic, it was organized in June with the support of representatives of the state, culture, sports and ordinary citizens.
Ms. Leda Fourlis, Director of Social Responsibility of the Fourlis Group, said: “At the Fourlis Group we always try to be close to the People. Each of us feels very good when we can offer our time and presence to be close to our fellow human beings and to improve their quality of life even a little bit. The people of our Group participated in this essential initiative of “SCHEDIA” with great enthusiasm and emotion. We will continue to have our ears and our hearts open to create together a more humane society without social exclusion”.
The Fourlis Group implements Social Responsibility programs with the aim of strengthening socially vulnerable groups, supporting a number of organizations and agencies. The aim of these programs is, beyond supporting their work, the essential contribution to the effort to remove social exclusions.
