Electric vehicle maker Fisker announced that Foxconn, the world’s largest assembler of electronic products, will be its manufacturing partner. Foxconn will begin production of Fisker electric vehicles at the end of 2023 and will produce more than 250,000 vehicles per year.
The deal, code-named Project PEAR (Personal Electric Automotive Revolution), provides for the supply of electric vehicles to North America and Europe, as well as to Kitats and India.
Recently, Foxconn has reported several deals related to the production of electric vehicles. In particular, in January, an agreement was signed with Byton, according to which serial production of the Byton M-Byte electric vehicle should begin by the first quarter of 2022, and an agreement to create a joint venture with Geely. It became known last week that by the end of this year, the first electric vehicles built using the open MIH hardware and software platform developed by Foxconn will enter the market.
