Foz do Iguaçu with children: see tips for tours and restaurants

visited Foz do Iguaçu for the first time 10 years ago, when he wasn’t even married, let alone had children. That first trip was enough for me to always want to go back and, especially, when I could, to go with my family.
Now, with my wife and two wonderful children (yes, I’m a doting father), I had the opportunity to return to Foz do Iguaçu on a trip whose programming was especially focused on children, so that they could enjoy the school holidays .
Obviously, any trip to Foz do Iguaçu requires a visit to attractions such as the waterfalls of Iguaçu Macuco Safari, Parque das Aves and, for those who like it, the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant.

This time, I looked for novelties according to my eldest son’s taste (the youngest is still very small, but she still had fun).
And since I’m not a fool, of course, I put in the schedule two restaurants and a bakery that I didn’t know yet – in both, the children ate very well. To the tips:

giardino

Under the command of the Peruvian chef Jean Paul Barbier – who, it is worth mentioning, is a star -, the giardino is an Italian restaurant installed in the resort Wish Foz do Iguaçu (where I had a great stay).
The restaurant presents the dishes in a modern way and it is worth trying the papardele with strip roast ragu and Malbec wine reduction, spaghetti nero di sepia with seafood and the gnocchi with chlorophyll, ragù di funghi and tartufo nero.

Av. das Cataratas, 6845, Tamandua, Foz do Iguaçu-PR / Opening hours: open daily from 7pm to 10pm.

Lebanese Castle

For those who don’t know, the Arab community is very present in Foz do Iguaçu and precisely because of this I couldn’t miss visiting a restaurant dedicated to this cuisine that I love.

O Lebanese Castle is a restaurant that refers to the “grandparents’ house”, both for the decoration and the great food. The highlights are the sfihas, the raw and fried kibes, the pastas and the grape leaf cigar.

Rua Vinícius de Moraes, 520, Jardim Central, Foz do Iguaçu-PR / Opening hours: open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 12 pm to 3 pm and from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Albayan Arabian Desserts

Positioned right in front of the famous Omar Ibn Al-Khatab Mosque temple of the Muslim religion, the Albayan Arabian Desserts It’s a separate program.
The bakery prepares countless types of sweets, among which Baklawa (flaky pastry), Namoura (semolina sweet) and Sfof (famous saffron cake with pistachios), among others, deserve special mention. It is possible to order the sweets from a distance, as the albayan ships products all over Brazil.

Rua Meca, 586, Jardim Central, Foz do Iguaçu-PR / Opening hours: open daily from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm.

Movie Cars

Aimed at those who not only like vintage cars, but also those who love movies, TV shows, sports and cartoons, the Movie Cars is a park-museum with more than 50 vehicles spread over 24 scenarios with the most diverse themes. The vehicles are faithful copies of cars like Ayrton Senna, Mister Bean, Back to the Future and many others.

Av. das Cataratas, 11.547, Foz do Iguaçu-PR / Opening hours: open daily from 9 am to 6 pm.

Dreams Park Show

O Dreams Park It is a complex with five attractions (Vale dos Dinossauros, Bar de Gelo, Museu de Cera, Maravilhas do Mundo and Dreams Motor Show), and it is possible to spend the whole day at the same address, which still has space for food.

Av. das Cataratas, 8.100, Vila Yolanda, Foz do Iguaçu-PR / Opening hours: open daily from 9 am to 9 pm (from Friday to Sunday the hours are extended to 10 pm).

Yup Star Foz

Located in the famous Marco das Três Fronteiras – where the famous triple border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay is located -, the Yup Star Foz It’s a Ferris wheel no less than 88 meters high that can be enjoyed over a 20-minute ride. It goes without saying that the view is cinematic.

B.C. Três Fronteiras, S/N, Parque das Três Fronteiras Allotment, Foz do Iguaçu-PR, CEP 85855-616. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00.
